Orysia has served within the healthcare industry for more than forty-five years. A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy; Orysia holds a MS degree DePaul University Chicago. She has held numerous Director and VP positions in both hospitals, pharmacy industry, and Nursing/Rehabilitation Centers.
Orysia's work in the Ukrainian Community dares back to the early 80’s when she became a long time member of the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art (UIMA). Since her early membership, Orysia has served in the following leadership roles: National Ukrainian Women’s League, Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, Executive Committee of St Volodymyr & Olha Parish Church, and Ukrainian Medical Association of North America.
From 2002, Orysia was President of the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, and was instrumental in a total rehab. and expansion of the Institute's facility. In those years, she was at the forefront in working with a core group of six local community organizations in developing the Cultural Alliance.
From 2015 till present, Orysia holds the position of Chairperson of UIMA and works closely with the Institute's President and Board of Directors in leading the organization into a growing, sustaining cultural institution in the great city of Chicago.
