Monti Carlo is a two‐time Telly Award–winning Puerto Rican food media personality and
cookbook author. She hosts Let’s Eat for Amazing America TV, co‐hosts Best Bite Wins with
Josh Peck on Roku, and reaches over 1 million followers with her passion, humor, and deep
food knowledge. Monti first broke through as the first Puerto Rican woman to compete on
Gordon Ramsay’s MasterChef, and has since built a career spanning Netflix, Food Network,
PBS, Tastemade, and bylines in The Washington Post, Bon Appétit, and the Jacques Pépin
Foundation’s Cook with Jacques & Friends. Her cookbook Spanglish, a love letter to bicultural Puerto Rican cooking, will be published by Simon & Schuster in Summer 2026. A proud advocate for her community, Monti shines a light on Puerto Rican chefs and was honored to present the very first James Beard Award won by a Puerto Rican chef — Natalia Vallejo — at the 2023 James Beard Awards. Since 2020, she has served the James Beard Foundation as a judge, host, and Broadcast Media Awards committee member, championing the flavors, voices, and traditions of her heritage on the national stage.
